lol! never saw an angel as badass as this one !

anyway, i noticed something that i always forget to tell you...
not really criticism, but just to make sure you're aware of it: you tend to make the proportions of your characters very "compact"; pretty big head and small limbs.
well, i'm guilty of doing it, too XD...
but i noticed that almost all pros tend to get to more realistic proportions the better they become.
so i'm trying to become more consistent with mah proportions, too. its actually harder to really understand them than it looks .

i love two things about this picture. first, the perspective is really god damn great, especially that you used no references for it. i would have probably died several times while trying to draw a hand in this position heh. second, i find those demon hands really amazing for some strange reason
on the other hand i think his wings are a little too short. i mean, to carry someone of a human posture those wings should be at least twice as big (well, he's an angel and christian angels can move wherever they want in a blink of an eye, so i guess it doesn't really matter heh)

oh and by the way.... don't take it the wrong way, but from my own experience i know that most christians would feel somewhat angry at you for calling the angel a badass. (apparently most christians get angry at me when i try to tell them that pentacle doesn't have anything to do with satan...) i don't really mind since i'm an atheist, but my point is that some people might

yeah actually that hand position caused me to contemplate suicide on some other drawing i made in the past. It was only from that horrible experience that I could rock it relatively easily this time around.

I appreciate the... appreciation? I know, im not much of a bible thumper myself (to put it lightly) so its always fun to be able to please a religious person AND draw something fuckin kickass at the same time haha

it's a keeper for me. absolutely awesome. crit wise i think the wing design is a little odd, but the shape and movement and the meticulous texturing on it more than make up for it.
